Tips:

Choose the right wood! For an optimal cooking result, select suitable firewood

Use only seasoned wood and preferably slow-burning hardwood such as beech, oak or ash.

Wood of tropical origin tends to overheat and can damage the hob.

Damp wood is difficult to light and causes unnecessary excess smoke.

The ideal way to start your fire is to build a small tower by assembling the kindling and a couple of larger logs over crumpled paper and lighting the fire in the centre of it. This will allow optimal circulation of oxygen, which is essential for any fire. When the fire has established. Add more larger logs as necessary once the fire is established.

Cleaning and maintaining your brazier:

All BBQ parts are made of high quality solid steel. Due to its heavy weight, it is perfectly stable and secure and can be used outdoors all year round - winter barbecues included! The cover prevents rain, snow or dead leaves from falling into the fire zone. Without a lid, it needs to be emptied regularly of anything that can accumulate in it to prevent the hob from rusting. You can also use our protective cover to protect your BBQ. The cooking area is also easy to clean, once cooking is finished, all you need is a spatula to quickly scrape off stuck-on residue. Once cooled, the plate wipes quickly with a damp cloth. And for additional corrosion protection wipe the hotplate and griddle with some vegetable oil, checking periodically during more infrequent use.

To keep your cook top looking like new for as long as possible, it has been  “pre-burned” for you. This forms a thin protective layer helping against against rust and corrosion.
